The unit franchise fee is different for each model which starts from 1,50,000/- to Rs. 3,90,000/- plus GST in which following headers are included.
● Franchise fee,

A minimum commercial space of 100-150 square feet is required to set up the store. It should have a minimum width of 10 foot facing for better brand visibility & to attract the foot fall. Although the ideal space is 150-200 square foot, with a good parking space and open space for customer standing, even 100 square foot is good enough in a crowded and happening area.
For civil work, furniture, and interiors an approximate of 1,00,000/- would be required as additional capital expenses apart from Unit Franchise Fee of 3.9 L.

If the commercial space is a rented or lease one, security deposit will be extra, and it is subject to location, space, and terms with the space owner.
NO, the Unit Franchise Fee is not refundable. Unit Franchise Partner (Investor) owns all the equipment offered by the brand while taking the franchise.
CHAI JOY believes in Quality and all the equipment provided are top class brands with warranty. Ex: Whirlpool refrigerator, Western freezer, FDU, JTC commercial blender, Prestige induction bases , Induction base 6 lt bowls for tea making, Milton/Cello branded large size flasks, Customized milk boilers and filter coffee machine etc.
The Unit Franchise Agreement is valid for 5 years and renewal fee is 10% of the initial Unit Franchise Fee.
The Brand will supply all the primary ingredients (which create approx. 1 lakh revenue) refer list 5 for brand supplies. However, there are some items which the franchisee must buy locally (refer list 6 for franchise day to day purchase)
The Brand will supply a few snacks. The franchisee can keep the local snack items at the shop with the approval from the brand. The franchisee can either prepare the snacks or get it from good snack vendors. The quality of the snacks should not be compromised.
Chai joy does not allow any other menu to be added by the franchise but basing on the demand from the regional markets they may add few items with the written approval from the brand in good quality with good shelf life. Shakes and teas are exclusive from the menu of CHAI JOY, no extra variants other than permitted by the brand are allowed.
No. Brand provides training to franchise selected staff. You need a minimum of 2-4 manpower to operate the outlet. The team need not have any prior experience. CHAI JOY completely functions on SOP which will be trained by a professional trainer. 3-4 days of training is enough to get going with the SOPs of CHAI JOY. If the business operations are high, 2 manpower per shift and in the initial phase of business 1 manpower per shift is good enough.
You can send your manpower to any of our outlets. The training at these locations will be completely free, but the cost of manpower travel, food and accommodation will have to be managed by franchise.
After establishing outlet if there is a manpower change due to any reason, training fee is Rs.6000/- per person
The daily average of our outlets range from 8k-20k . This all depends upon the location & footfall of the outlet.
No royalty for initial 6 months till the outlet is into its good performance. After 6 months, monthly fixed royalty of Rs. 2000/- is to be paid to the brand irrespective of the sale, no other hidden charges are involved.
No centralized billing system, however, from the brand side, the billing machine as an option is provided for a unit with additional cost. Different colour cups with different denominations & with strong predetermined processes daily sales value can be achieved.
Tea is produced in batches and we have a daily reporting format where each variant and wastage are noted. The batches determine the cups of tea sold. We have entries of milk indent also which determines the accuracy to be calculated if any entry in billing gets missed too.
We train the franchise in multiple methods for calculating daily sale & expenses, whichever is convenient Franchise can opt for it.
The unit franchisee will procure scheduled raw materials (refer list 5) exclusively from the Brand.
In that case, if the Unit Franchisee is found selling our products in any other outlet or any Personal Business, the unit franchisee shall be liable to face legal Consequences and must pay penalty to the brand. Without prejudice to any other
right, recourse and/or remedy that Brand may have under law and / or equity and / or under the agreement will collect an amount equivalent to Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rs. Five Lakh only) as liquidated damages and not as a penalty.
There are no specified criteria as such. We will not permit multiple outlets at the same location because of which business will be affected for both. No one will be benefitted as such. But if there is scope for more business and having even multiple stores of CHAI JOY enhances brand visibility and can serve people of that area better without disturbing each other then we consider.
No. It is strictly not allowed by the Franchise, it is liable to even cancel franchise terms. The franchisee must sell all the items in CHAI JOY Brand glasses only.
Yes. Franchisees can relocate the Outlet on consideration from the brand with a written approval. The new location should be approved by CHAI JOY and it should not disturb the existing outlet in the location if any. It is strictly not allowed to relocate the outlet without a prior written approval from the Brand in which case Franchise agreement gets cancelled.
Yes, the franchise has to take prior consent with CHAIJOY, and brand permission in writing is mandatory. CHAI JOY visibility is must.
The menu finalization always is done with the brand and pricing is also done with mutual coordination. Any menu pricing change afterwards needs consent from the CHAI JOY in writing.
The location should be in the high footfall areas like educational institutions, banks, offices, commercial complexes, malls, theatres, government organizations, railway stations, bus stations, travels, hospitals, highways and busy people moving areas are ideally suggested. If any location which is promising is also considered. Ample two-wheeler parking, clean & hygiene area, only in ground floor, availability of water source and drainage are basic prerequisites of an ideal location.
